Everyone’s favorite failed car salesman-turned-spite store entrepreneur will return to HBO airwaves for another run of episodes. Yes, Larry David has officially signed up for an eleventh season of his award-winning comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.
HBO Programming VP Amy Gravitt announced the show’s renewal on Tuesday, revealing that “Larry is already busy writing, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.”
For his part, David joked, “Believe me, I’m as upset about this as you are. One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve.”
After a hit-or-miss ninth season, David regained his footing with Season 10, delivering some of the more memorable Curb episodes in recent memory. In fact, we recently named Curb’s tenth season as one of our Top 10 TV Shows of 2020 (So Far), with Michael Roffman writing, “Seeing Larry deal with everyday grievances again was a relief, particularly at a time when our own day-to-days were fading away amidst quarantine.”
It’s anyone’s guess what David will come up with for season eleven, but hopefully the two Larrys can get back for at least one episode.
