This week on Consequence’s bi-weekly livestream show Under the Tracks, we’re taking a twin’s tour of underground music led by sisters Alexa Viscius and Bnny. Broadcasting on Vans’ Channel 66 on July 26th, the new episode will find host NNAMDÏ given a unique view of the Chicago’s indie scene by the artist siblings.
Alexa Viscius is a multi-disciplinary artist who creates in a variety of fields, including music, photography, film, silk screen, and graphic design, to name a few. While working as a freelance art director and designer, she also plays bass alongside her twin sister, Jessica, in Bnny.
A five-piece outfit led by Jess, Bnny makes minimalist, heartbreaking music described as “a field recording taken from the lone country of grief.” Signed to Brooklyn’s Fire Talk records, the Chicago quintet will release their debut full-length, Everything, on August 20th.
Before that, however, the Viscius sisters will spin their own curated 45-minute DJ sets for Under the Tracks. Their sets will air live from House of Vans Chicago on Channel 66 this Monday, July 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CT. Tune in, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for future installments of Under the Tracks from Consequence.
