Billie Eilish knows how to put on a spectacular show, but more importantly, she knows how to intervene when things look like they might go too far. During a stop at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena last Saturday, February 5th, the pop star paused her show to retrieve an inhaler for an apparently struggling audience member.

“Relax, relax, it’s OK,” Eilish assured attendees as venue security brought an inhaler to the fan in distress. “We’re taking care of our people, hold on.” The “Happier Than Ever” singer reminded the audience to alert someone if they needed help, and conducted a quick breathing exercise before resuming the show.

Eilish is known for her rowdy concerts, but her dedication to crowd safety is especially notable in the wake of the tragedy at Astroworld Festival back in November, where 10 Travis Scott fans died as a result of compression asphyxia during the rapper’s headlining set. Hopefully, Eilish’s attentiveness will serve as an example for similarly energetic performers. See fan-captured footage of the show below.
