Talk about a vacation from hell: Today, A24 has unveiled the official teaser trailer for MEN, the forthcoming horror film starring Jessie Buckley.
In this mysterious, claustrophobic new feature, Buckley plays Harper, a woman who retreats to the quaint English countryside in hopes to heal after going through a personal tragedy. But this idyllic scenery isn’t quite as peaceful as it appears: Someone — or something — is following Harper, threatening to make her relive all her darkest memories.
MEN is written and directed by Alex Garland, known for his work on the similarly unsettling films Ex Machina and Annihilation. It also stars Rory Kinnear and Paapa Essiedu. You can follow MEN to the theater starting May 20th; see the teaser below.
After becoming a household name with 2020’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Buckley earned her first Academy Award nomination this year for her portrayal of young Leda in The Lost Daughter.
