Orville Peck has announced his sophomore album Bronco, which will be released in full on April 8th. Today, he has shared the first of three installments, featuring the new tracks “C’mon Baby, Cry,” “Daytona Sand,” “Outta Time,” and “Any Turn.”

Bronco is described as “breaking free from that which binds us and all that is wild and untamed” while building upon the themes of love, loss, and loneliness from Peck’s debut album Pony and 2020 EP Show Pony.

“This is my most impassioned and authentic album to date,” Peck said in a press statement. “I was inspired by country rock, ’60s and ’70s psychedelic, California and bluegrass with everything being anchored in country. Bronco is all about being unrestrained and the culmination of a year of touring, writing in isolation and going through and ultimately emerging from a challenging personal time.”

In support of Bronco, Peck will kick off a US headlining tour on April 14th in Sacramento. In addition to festival appearances at Coachella and Stagecoach, he will make stops in cities like Austin, Nashville, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Seattle before wrapping up on June 14th in Oakland.
