BLACKPINK appeared at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards to perform their song “PINK VENOM.”

Marking their first-ever American awards show performance, BLACKPINK took the stage with confidence, blending “PINK VENOM”‘s 50 Cent, Rihanna, and Notorious B.I.G. interpolations with their own brand of hip-hop swagger. Naturally, pink lasers and smoke covered the stage.

Before their performance, BLACKPINK won the award for Best Metaverse Performance at the VMAs pre-show. They took home the Moonperson for The Concert, their digital in-game concert for PUGB Mobile, which featured the new song “Ready for Love.” The K-pop superstars are also nominated for Group of the Year at this year’s awards show, alongside BTS, City Girls, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Måneskin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Silk Sonic.

Song of the Week “PINK VENOM” appears on BLACKPINK’s upcoming album BORN PINKwhich is out September 16th. In October, they’ll kick off the “BORN PINK World Tour,” which they’ve dubbed “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.” Learn how to get tickets to the trek here.
