Against all odds, Beavis and Butt-Head have reached middle-age alive in Mike Judge’s Paramount+ revival. Episode 5 aired on August 24th, and shows the world’s most experienced butt-munchers causing mayhem in a supermarket.
Judge first shared drawings of the pair as middle-aged losers in January, though from sketch to screen Butt-Head apparently lost the ability to walk. Wheelchair bound, he uses a reacher to knock a box of Count Chocola cereal out of Beavis’ hands, telling his friend, “We need beer, not, like, health food.”
Beavis retorts that, “It’s my money. I earned it. I gave you a bath,” at which time the man now called “Mr. Butt-Head” initiates a cleanup on aisle you. Check out a clip below.
So far we’ve seen Beavis’ enlistment in BTS Army and the boys prove that they’re quite the catch. And if seeing them older isn’t disorienting enough, Judge recently said that a live-action adaptation “still could happen.” In June, Paramount+ released the animated film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.
