Every November, Montreal becomes the center of the international music industry, with two high-end music events coming together within the course of a week to showcase buzzworthy acts, welcome hundreds of professionals from over 15 countries, and create long-lasting business opportunities. M for Montreal (Nov 16-19), entering its eleventh year, is a highly curated festival experience featuring both local and international artists. The four-day event is a platform to discover fresh talent in rock, electronic, and hip-hop, and doubles as a conference with a strong focus on music export opportunities and meeting a who’s who of the international indie music scene. Its sister conference Mundial Montreal (Nov 15-18), in its sixth year, is a platform for discovering some of the best internationally renowned world music, both from within and outside Canada, while curating a globe-spanning network of presenters.
